AP-Capital Region Development Authority (AP-CRDA) Commissioner Cherukuri Sreedhar stated in a press release that constructions exceeding 150 metres (equals 40 floors) above the Mean Sea Level (MSL) in Amaravati require the permission of the Airports Authority of India (AAI).
No Objection Certificates (NOCs) have to be compulsorily obtained from the AAI for constructions that surpass the given height to ensure the safety of flight operations at Gannavaram airport.
The AAI gives NOCs on the basis of its Colour-Coded Zoning Maps (CCZM) and the CRDA has been allowed to clear constructions above the MSL but below 150 metres.
Constructions falling in that range are supposed to follow the relevant CCZM, building and zoning rules of the CRDA.
Mr. Sreedhar stated that buildings in Amaravati with up to 40 floors and 20 floors in Vijayawada city did not require NOCs from the AAI.
Other areas exempted
