IT and Panchayat Raj Minister Nara Lokesh launched TOneFlix App for offline video streaming on Google Play here on Tuesday.

On the occasion, Mr. Lokesh said as much as ₹10,000 crore investments and 1.09 lakh jobs would be created in the next two years. About 100 IT companies were eager to start their operations in AP. Four more major IT companies were coming to Andhra Pradesh.“It will be a reality before I complete 100 days of my ministership,” he said.

The Minister said that it took 40 years to develop Singapore. But, with latest advancements on the technology front, it was possible to construct Amaravati in just 15 years. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu had been asserting the same and the government was committed to constructing the Capital city as one of the top five cities in the world. The Chief Minister was also trying to bring in real time governance with the help of technology in all government departments.

Alert management system, Jala Vani call centre were a few initiatives of the government, he said.

Video streaming without Internet was an innovative idea. About 1,500 cinemas were there in the App. The content was so huge that even if one travels from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, they would not feel bored during the journey.

‘Nani remarks personal’

Referring to Vijayawada MP Kesineni Srinivas (Nani) remarks against the BJP, Mr. Lokesh said it was common that difference of opinion was common in any political party. The leaders should desist making their opinions public. Mr Nani comments were his personal opinions. The TDP was first to support the NDA, he recalled.

There was no revolt in the West Godavari unit. The leaders were upset over the developments. The police were investigating into murders in Prakasam district. Minor issues, if any, would be sorted out, he said. TerraNet India MD Y. R. Rao and others were present.
