Workshop on vintage compositions

The Marabu Foundation, Thillaisthanam, in association with Indic Academy and Justice Kodanda Ramayya Fund, will organise a three-day workshop on ‘Vintage Compositions: Padam 1’ at its premises from November 1.

The workshop will be dedicated to Bangalore Nagaratnamma, linguist, musician, dancer and author, to mark her birth anniversary that falls on November 3.

“The workshop will see rare and vintage padams by Padakaras Kshetrayya, Sarangapani, Muvvalur Sabapati Ayyar, Ghanam Seenayya, Vaideeswaran Koil Subbaramayyar and Ghanam Krishnayyar being taught by resource persons such as S. Rajeswari, Bhushany Kalyanaraman and Geetha Raja,” Rama.Kausalya, Managing Trustee, Marabu Foundation, said in a press release.

The workshop will be conducted under gurukula pattern where the participants and resource persons will stay under the same roof for all three days. Food and lodging will be provided free of cost to the participants, she added.
