Two murdered

Police are on the look out for Vadivel, an auto driver, who is believed to have committed the crime

In separate incidents, two persons were murdered in the city on Monday. In the first incident, a 45-year-old man was allegedly stabbed in K.K. Nagar leading to his death. The victim identified as S.Muthu was a resident of K.K. Nagar.

Police are on the look out for Vadivel, an auto driver, who is believed to have committed the crime. Police sources said Muthu was found lying close to the Sathanur main road in K.K. Nagar area with stab injuries on his neck. He died on the way to the hospital. The murder is said to be a fall out of an illegal affair that Muthu is alleged to have maintained, the sources said adding that the killer too maintained illicit relationship with the same woman that led to a tussle between them.

The sources said Muthu reportedly stayed with the woman with whom he allegedly maintained illegal affair on Sunday night and was attacked when he came out the next morning. The K.K. Nagar police have registered a case. In the other incident, a 47-year-old man involved in finance business was hacked to death in Ponmalai area here. The victim C.Palanisamy was running a finance firm in Thillai Nagar.

The body was found with multiple cuts behind the railway workshop, the police said, adding that an aruval, cell phone and a mini rod were found nearby. The two-wheeler in which Palanisamy was said to have been riding was missing. Investigations were on to determine the motive behind the murder and the accused behind the crime. The Golden Rock Police have registered a case.
