The Election Commission has nominated two more observers for the October 13 by-election for the Tiruchi West constituency.
According to a release issued here on Sunday, R. K. Pathak will be the Expenditure Observer and Ranjit Singh is the Police Observer. Both of them will stay at the Circuit House. Niveditha Biswas, Expenditure Observer appointed earlier by the Commission, is already in the city and monitoring poll related works.
A 24-hr control room with telephone number 2461369 has been set up at the Collectorate here. People desirous of lodging complaints can utilise the services of the control room.
This apart, the following officials have been nominated as assistant election officers for expenditure: K. Jayakumar, Superintendent, Central Excise (94434 45577); R. Karthik, Income Tax Officer, Tiruchi (94459 53173) and M. Vijaya, Income Tax Officer, Tiruchi (94459 55439).
