Trust offers free education to Gaja-affected students

An educational institution, which extended humanitarian assistance to people affected by Cyclone Gaja in Peravurani and Pattukottai, has now come forward to extend a helping hand to students from the two areas going from secondary to higher secondary level.

Students, who wish to undergo their study without fees for two years, should agree to pursue their higher secondary education in Tamil medium at the school run by Kumarappa Trust in Peravurani.

The offer of free education follows an appeal from Gaja-affected people, which was accepted by the executive trustee of Kumarappa Trust, G. R. Sridhar.

Dr. J. C. Kumarappa Higher Secondary School has decided to admit 100 students during this academic year under the category and it will be implemented on first come, first serve basis. The trust will also consider for admission deserving candidates from other Gaja-affected areas.
