Tributes paid

Tributes were paid to G. Kanagasabai, one of the prominent leaders of the delta region and also correspondent of the L.N.P. Girls Higher Secondary School at Lalgudi, at a condolence meeting held at the school on Saturday.

S. Ranganathan, general secretary of the Tamil Nadu Cauvery Delta Farmers Welfare Association, unveiled a portrait of the late Kanagasabai and offered floral tributes. A number of farmers representatives – Gandhi Pithan, R. Raja Chidambarm and C. Masilamani - were among those who participated.

S. Nalina, headmistress of the school, spoke on the late Kanagasabai’s services to the cause of education. — Special Correspondent
