T.N. Pollution Control Board to hold open house sessions in districts

April 02, 2022 06:29 pm | Updated 06:29 pm IST - TIRUCHI

The Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board will hold open house sessions in the districts to enable individuals, industries, voluntary organisations and representatives of public welfare organisations to register their grievances, lodge pollution related complaints, get their doubts clarified or air suggestions.

The sessions are aimed at making the Board's functions and activities more transparent and credible.

The sessions will be held on the 5th of every month at all district and zonal offices besides the Board’s Head Office. If the day was a public holiday, the session will be held on the next working day. Participants are required to bring their Aadhaar cards.

No prior intimation or permission is required to participate in the sessions. However, those who wish to participate in the sessions are advised to register their names on the Board’s website www.tnpcb.gov.in so as to enable the officials to have their responses ready during the sessions or prior to that. The first open session will be held on April 5, a TNPCB release said.
