A man was murdered allegedly by his own brother at Kottapattu here on Sunday. The police have arrested K. Ramar on the charge of killing his brother K. Lakshmanan (42). Police said Ramar (42) asked his mother to give him money reportedly under drunken mood and struck her when she refused. Upon noticing it, Lakshmanan intervened and questioned Ramar, a mason, leading to a verbal duel between them. In a fit of rage, Ramar allegedly assaulted Lakshmanan with a wooden log and strangulated him. Lakshmanan collapsed and died in front of their house. The Golden Rock police have registered a case.
