Work on the construction of an “annadhana koodam” will be completed soon at Sri Sapatharisheeswarar Temple at Lalgudi near Tiruchi.

The work, being executed at an estimate of Rs. 8.70 lakh, was taken up last month and would be executed within a month’s time, according to S. Manoharan, Executive Officer of the temple.

At present, a part of the ‘mandapam’ at the entrance to the temple has been converted into the annadhana koodam.

Vacant site

Mr. Manoharan said that a part of a vacant site on a piece of grounds at the temple has been utilised for constructing the new facility.

He said there had been an overwhelming response to the ‘annadhanam’ scheme with a large number of donors sponsoring donation for a specific day. Those interested can call him on 94866-40260.
