‘Super 30’ meet Trichy Collector

Special coaching given to 30 Plus Two students from rural areas

Rural students of government schools in the district who successfully cleared the Plus Two examinations after having undergone special coaching under the ‘super-30’ programme met Collector Darez Ahamed here on Monday.

The meeting took place at the Government Higher Secondary School in Perambalur where Dr. Ahamed congratulated the students for securing good marks and lauded the teachers for the efforts they had put in for coaching the students.

A total number of 30 students from various villages were handpicked under the ‘super-30’ programme and admitted in the Government Higher Secondary School at Perambalur.

Necessary facilities were provided to the students for whom special classes were conducted. Periodic tests were conducted to identify their deficiencies and rectify them.

Prior to taking the Plus Two examinations, the students were given tests five times in all the subjects.

They were taken on a free educational tour to Kanyakumari, Nagercoil, Suseendram and Tiruparappu water falls to de-stress and to do with joy their preparation for the public exams.

Special training programmes were conducted engaging the services of reputed educationists and government officials to improve the confidence level of the students, Mr. Darez Ahamed said.

The parents of students were also present at the meeting, an official press release here said.
