Students throng expo

An indigenously-developed electric bike was the centre of attraction at GYANITH’19, third edition of the annual technical fest of National Institute of Technology Puducherry (NITPY), Karaikal.

The three-day festival, co-hosted by India’s own five-foot humanoid, Mitra, attracted about 800 students from across the southern States. Around 40 students from various schools in and around Karaikal were given an opportunity to showcase their technical models.

The special attraction of the fest was WAC (What after College). There were Pro-Shows by Kanishk Sajneni, a famous ethical hacker on the first day, and by The Psycho Devils- Bike stunters and Jatin Sarna, a well-known Netflix star and Bollywood actor on the second day.

The inaugural session was attended by Abhishek Sinha, Director of Alcatel Lucent Enterprises, and Nagendran, Indian Coast Guard Station Commander, Karaikal.

At the valedictory session on Saturday, N. Thangaraj, General Manager Head, HSE- ONGC, Karaikal, honoured the prize-winners of various events in the presence of NITPY Director K. Sankaranarayanasamy, and Registrar G.Seetharaman.
