The participants, carrying placards highlighting the importance of national integration, communal harmony and the need to maintain cleanliness at tourist attractions, marched across the central bus stand before the rally culminating at the St.John's Vestry Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School junction.

A folk dance team also marched ahead of the rally to spread the message.

Students of Bishop Heber College, Jenney's Academy of Tourism and Catering Technology, State Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, and MIET Arts and Science College took part in the rally.
