Stalin’s effigy burnt

Members of Thamizhaga Makkal Munnetra Kazahgam set fire to the effigy of Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam president M.K. Stalin during a demonstration staged near Tiruvarur junction on Friday.

The demonstrators were protesting certain remarks made by Mr. Stalin against their president John Pandian. Police, who put out the fire, arrested 42 persons, including TMMK Tiruvarur district secretary Arockiadoss.
