TIRUCHI

A special Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) mela would be held at the Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) in Tiruchi on March 31 to meet the demand for the certificates from prospective job seekers in the United Arab Emirates, according to S. Lingasamy, Regional Passport Officer, Tiruchi.

The government of UAE has made it mandatory for employees to produce PCC for processing visa with effect from February 4. Following this, there is a huge demand for the certificates from job seekers.

In order to ease the situation, a special PCC mela would be held at the PSK in Tiruchi for applicants from Tiruchi, Ariyalur, Perambalur, Karur, Thanjavur, Tiruvarur, Nagapattinam and Pudukottai districts, besides Karaikal, Mr.Lingasamy said in a press release.

All applicants who require PCC can attend the mela following usual procedure and those who have taken appointments can reschedule their appointments to March 31. More details can be had from the website www.passportindia.gov.in or by dialling 18002581800 or 0431-2707203/2707404.
