Seven persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the central region on Tuesday, according to a bulletin issued by the State Health Department.
There were three cases in Tiruchi, two cases in Mayiladuthurai, and one case each in Nagapattinam and Pudukottai district. Out of 45 active cases in the region, Tiruchi district had 16, Mayiladuthurai nine, Ariyalur five, Pudukottai and Tiruvarur four, Karur and Nagapattinam three, and Thanjavur one. Perambalur had no active cases.
