Senthil Balaji hits campaign trail

DMK candidate for Aravakurichi Assembly by-election V. Senthil Balaji on Friday hit the campaign trail in the constituency.

Aravakurichi is among the four Assembly constituencies in the State where by-election would be held on May 19.

Mr. Balaji, who was busy till now campaigning in support of Congress candidate for Karur Lok Sabha constituency S. Jothimani, visited Senthamangalam Melpagam, Kumaramangalam Venkatapuram, Vazhanayakkanur and other villages.

He assured the electorate that if elected he would take steps to execute a comprehensive Cauvery drinking water scheme to overcome the shortage in the area.

He maintained that a change of government would take place in the State soon after the election results were out on May 23.

Ms. Jothimani accompanied Mr. Balaji along with DMK district office-bearers and functionaries.
