Registration for seed testing will be done online from this financial year, according to Collector A. Annadurai.

In a press release, he said necessary arrangements had been made at the Seed Testing Centre in Kattuthottam, as online registration had been made mandatory for registration for seed testing.

Farmers, seed distributors and sellers must register online their name, address, contact number and details about the crop variety and pay a fee of ₹30. Further, user ID and password had been generated in the name of seed distributors and sellers and they could get the same from the office of the Deputy Director, Seed Testing, Thanjavur. Using them, they could check the seed testing results.
