Sea recedes by around 200 metres


The receding of sea by around 200 metres from the shore at Adhiramapattinam on Monday created panic among the fishermen.

Fishermen of Adhiramapattinam had refrained from venturing into sea for the past five days in view of strong wind along the coast. On Monday morning they witnessed the sea suddenly receding by around 200 metres leaving the slush on the bottom of the sea along the coast visible.
