Rockfort Express gets delayed

The Chennai-bound Rockfort Express from Tiruchi was delayed for 30 minutes at Pullambadi after the Travelling Ticket Examiner noticed heavy spark in one of the air-conditioned coaches in the late hours on Sunday. Consequently, a couple of other trains were halted midway.

Railway sources said the TTE noticed heavy spark in the A-1 air-conditioned coach of the express train between Lalgudi and Pullambadi.

The TTE pulled the alarm chain at Pullambadi station. Railway staff inspected the coach and the train left. The Madurai – Chennai Pandyan Express was detained at Lalgudi while the Mangalore – Chennai Express got delayed at Kattur.
