Renew licences, factories told

All factories registered under the Factories Act in Tiruchi, Karur, Ariyalur and Perambalur districts have been asked to apply for renewal of licences from the Department of Industrial Safety and Health.

In a press release, A.Ravi, Joint Director of Industrial Safety and Health, Tiruchi, said the applications with relevant documents should be submitted before October 31. Late fee of 10 per cent would be levied on applications received after October 31 and till November 15 and 20 per cent on applications received till December 15.

Applications submitted after December 15 would attract a late fee of 30 per cent.

The licences can be renewed for one to five years.

The licence fee payable should be remitted in the form of demand draft drawn in favour of Joint Director of Industrial Safety and Health, Tiruchi or paid in the district treasury.
