Rani Mangamma Darbar Hall damaged

A minor part of the patch work on the ceiling of the Darbar Hall of Rani Mangamma here has peeled off, indicating some possible seepage into the building because incessant showers the city has been experiencing in the past few weeks.

According to official sources, the ceiling of the hall, which was built about four centuries ago, would have got weakened possibly because of seepage. Public Works Department officials inspected the building.

Workers at the Government Museum said that they heard a deafening sound early on Thursday. They found that the patch material strewn all around a radius of five metres on the Darbar Hall. J.
