Rajiv's birth anniversary celebrated

Congress cadre celebrated the birth anniversary of Rajiv Gandhi by garlanding his statues and portraits across the district on Saturday. Former Union Minister S.Thirunavukkarasar led the Congress cadre in garlanding the statue of the late leader at Junction roundabout. The cadre were also administered communal harmony pledge. N.Pari, treasurer of the urban district unit of the party, presided.

The members of the Mahila Congress and Youth Congress too were present.

The members of the Tiruchi South district Congress unit garlanded the statue of Rajiv Gandhi. M.Saravanan, advocate, led the cadre.
