Railway GM inspects facilities

Southern Railway General Manager R.K. Kulshrestha inspected facilities created for railway employees during his visit to Tiruchi on Friday.

Mr. Kulshrestha inspected the air-conditioned Running Room meant for Loco Pilots and Guards to take rest after completion of duty hours. He also had a look at additional facilities provided at the Kallukuzhi railway stadium such as badminton court and a basketball court.

He also inspected the renovated women’s hostel with additional rooms besides enquiring about the amenities provided at the hostel situated inside the Zonal Railway Training Centre campus.

During a meeting with the divisional railway officers later, he asked them to focus more on safety and detect machinery and human failures on time and prevent them. P. Uday Kumar Reddy, Divisional Railway Manager, and other senior officers accompanied the General Manager during the inspection. Later, the General Manager carried out a window trailing inspection from Tiruchi to Karaikal, a release said.
