The Department of Posts, in association with the Tiruchi District Philatelists Association, will host a district philatelic exhibition here on January 30 and 31.
The exhibition would seek to promote the hobby of stamp collection, especially among students and it would be non-competitive, according to a press release from the department. Students and stamp collectors from Tiruchi district and Ariyalur, Senthurai, and Udayarpalayam taluks of Tiruchi Post Divisional would participate in the non-competitive exhibition. Thousands of stamps on various themes would be on display at the exhibition. School and college students could visit the exhibition.
Entry forms for submission of entries are available at the Philatelic Bureau at the Head Post Office in the city. The last date for submission of filled-in applications is January 21 and the frame allotment would be made at the discretion of the organising committee by January 23.
