Petitions committee to hold sitting

The Tamil Nadu Assembly Petitions Committee would hold a sitting in Tiruchi soon and petitions from individuals or associations on public issues can be forwarded to it before July 25, A.M.P.Jamaludeen, Assembly Secretary, has said.

Petitions should be on particular issues of public grievance in Tiruchi district. Individual grievances, matters pertaining to pending court cases, applications for employment, pattas, old age pension, bank loans, transfer of government servants and government servants' grievances would not be entertained. The committee would take the petitions for scrutiny during its sitting.

Enquiries would be made with the officials with respect to matters raised in the petitions and responses to the petitioners would be sent through the District Collector's Office. Five copies of the petitions in Tamil with signature of the petitioner and date should be sent to the Chairman, Petitions Committee, Tamil Nadu Assembly, Chennai-600009, Mr.Jamaludeen said in a release.
