Over 31,000 write Plus Two exam

A total of 31,284 appeared for the Plus Two examinations which commenced in 91 centres across the district on Monday.

While, 18,400 appeared for the examinations in Tiruchi educational district, 5,886 students appeared in the Lalgudi educational district, and another 6,998 students in Musiri educational district. This apart, 676 private candidates too wrote the examinations in eight centres.

Flying squads comprising 50 personnel were pressed into service to monitor the peaceful holding of the examinations and prevent any malpractice. The personnel visited various examination centres in the district.

Jayashree Muralidharan, Collector, inspected the progress of the examinations at the Government Syed Murtuza Higher Secondary School, Palakkarai. K. Selvakumar, Chief Educational Officer, accompanied the Collector.

THANJAVUR: A total of 28,586 students appeared for the Plus Two examinations which commenced in 75 centres in the district on Monday.
