The Veterinary College and Research Institute (VCRI), Orathanadu, will observe Open Day on April 30 when students wishing to pursue veterinary courses will be allowed to visit the educational institutions affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University.
During the visit the prospective candidates could avail details regarding the courses offered, application and admission process, and job opportunities from the faculty.
While the five and half-years B.V.Sc. and AH degree course is offered at VCRIs at Orathanadu, Namakkal and Tirunelveli and at the Madras Veterinary College, Chennai, the four year B.Tech (Food Technology) and B.Tech (Dairy Technology) courses are available at the College of Food and Dairy Technology, Koduvelli, Chennai, and the four year B.Tech (Poultry Technology) is offered at the College of Poultry Production and Management, Hosur.
With respect to B.V.Sc. and AH course, 15% of the seats in each institution, will be filled by the Veterinary Council of India through NEET under the All India Quota.
