“Nurses play a huge role in helping patients recover”

Nursing staff, students, and paramedical personnel of Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Government Hospital celebrated the International Nurses Day on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale here on Tuesday.

They lined up in large numbers with candles to mark her birthday celebrations.

M.K.Muralidharan, Dean, K.A.P.Viswanatham Government Medical College, administered a pledge to the nurses, where they vowed to continue the path shown by Florence Nightingale in extending maximum possible care to the patients.

Reiterating the role of nurses, he said that nurses had a big responsibility in extending best care to the patients.

Awards

The dedicated and committed care of the nurses could make a huge impact in helping patients recover.

Awards were given to best nurses on the occasion. T.Leelavathy, State secretary, Tamil Nadu Government Nurses Association, took part.
