Nod for DNB in emergency medicine

The Government Medical College in Pudukottai has been accorded permission to offer Diplomate of National Board in Emergency Medicine.

Permission to conduct the postgraduate course was granted by National Board of Examinations, New Delhi. Earlier, a National Board of Examination member, Dr. Harsha D. Makwana from Ahmedabad, inspected the medical college in February.

On the basis of the recommendation, the Board accorded permission to the medical college to start two Diplomate of National Board seats in Emergency Medicine. The course would begin this year and doctors who had completed their one year house surgency period on or before March 31 could apply online.

The entrance examination would be held at all-India level, said College Dean AL. Meenakshi Sundaram in a press release.
