Five students receive Ambedkar merit award

Five meritorious students from various schools were presented with the Dr. Ambedkar National Merit Award for their achievement in the Secondary School Leaving Certificate examination (SSLC) held in 2013-14.

Collector K.S. Palanisamy presented the awards and cash prize at the Collectorate here on Monday. K. Roshini of St. James Matriculation School, S. Subhiksha of Vimala Matriculation Higher Secondary School, K. Mohana of M.G.M. Higher Secondary School, S. Preethi of S.R.V. Matriculation School, and Swetha of Holy Flower Higher Secondary School received the awards. While Roshini received Rs. 50,000, Subhiksha and Mohana got Rs. 40,000 each. Preethi and Swetha received Rs. 10,000 each.
