Film director gets award

The former IAS officer and film director Gnana Rajasekaran was conferred with “Samuthaya Chinthanai Chemmal” award for his contribution to society by the Bharathidasan University.

V.M. Muthukumar, Vice-Chancellor, Bharathidasan University, presented the award here recently. As many as 39 affiliated colleges took part in a competition under various categories. Cauvery College for Women emerged as overall champion followed by Srimad Andavan College. Jamal Mohamed College won the short film category, which was introduced for the first time in the competition.
