Farmers to stage sit-in dharna

Farmers opposing the hydrocarbon project have decided to hold 12-hours sit-in dharna during night hours at a specific location in Thirukaravasal from January 27 till February 13.

The members of Tamizhaga Cauvery Vivasayigal Sangam (TCVS), who observed a fast at a private place in Thirukaravasal on Saturday demanding a total ban on the project, resolved to continue their demonstration in a different format. The sit-in protest would be conducted from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., general secretary of TCVS P.R.Pandian said.
