Exclusive toilet for children at camp

An exclusive toilet for children, constructed with assistance from Lebara Foundation, a voluntary organisation, at the Sri Lankan refugee camp at Kottapattu was handed over to the camp authorities here on Wednesday.

The children's toilet was constructed at a cost of Rs.1.50 lakhs by Anbalayam, a city-based NGO.

‘Ilanthalir'

The keys of the toilet were formally handed over to P.Rajan, special deputy collector of the camp, by T.K.S.Senthil Kumar, founder, Anbalayam. A children's magazine, ‘Ilanthalir,' brought out as part of the Lebara assisted project was also released on the occasion. A children's park has already been established at the camp under the project.
