The Advocates Wing of Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam on Friday urged the Election Commission to hold by-elections to Aravakurichi, Thirupparankundram and Ottapidaram assembly constituencies along with 18 other segments going to by-poll on April 18.

A resolution to this effect was adopted at a meeting held here in connection with the upcoming general elections and by poll. Members of the wing from central and southern districts participated in the meeting presided over by former Minister and DMK south district secretary K.N. Nehru.

Another resolution called upon the wing to work tirelessly and ensure the victory of DMK candidates and those of its allies contesting in the general elections and in the by poll. Yet another resolution condemned the Pollachi sexual abuse case and demanded the arrest of those responsible for the crime.
