THANJAVUR: Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam (AMMK) deputy general secretary T.T.V. Dhinakaran on Thursday claimed that his party would play a key role in bringing to an end the Narendra Modi government at the Centre and the "anti-people" AIADMK government in the State in the forthcoming elections.

Speaking to reporters at Swamimalai near Kumbakonam in Thanjavur district, Mr. Dhinakaran said the vote bank of every party in the State would be clearly known after the elections. Whichever party was truly in the mind of the electorate would only emerge victorious, he said.

Predicting a huge victory for his party, Mr. Dhinakaran claimed that voters would ensure the defeat of the AIADMK. The DMK had been spreading canard after the death former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa, he said adding that the DMK should be inquired in this connection.

Stating that the people had confidence in his party, Mr. Dhinakaran that was the reason why the DMK had lost its deposit in the R.K. Nagar assembly by election.

Later, campaigning at Kumbakonam for the Mayiladuthurai parliamentary constituency candidate S. Senthamizhan, Mr. Dhinakaran said his party would not allow NEET or any other projects affecting the people.
