A large number of devotees offered worship to Namperumal on the occasion of Tiruppaliyoda Tiruvizha marking the float festival in the month of Maasi in the Tamil almanac, on Tuesday.

Namperumal was brought from sanctum sanctorum in the evening to Theppakulam asthanam mandapam where religious rituals were performed.

From the mandapam , Namperumal was taken to the float which was taken around the holy waters signifying the rituals associated with theppam kandarulal . Namperumal was taken to the sanctum sanctorum later. This is one of the important annual festivals at the temple.
