Customs Day

International Customs Day was celebrated at the Office of the Commissioner of Customs here on Tuesday. Speaking at the function, Sukhjit Kumar, Joint Commissioner of Customs, Tiruchi, said that the Tiruchi Customs Commissionerate collected Rs.664.82 crore revenue in 2013-14 fiscal and exceeded the target by Rs.4.82 crore. For the current fiscal, the target fixed was Rs.725 crore and the revenue collection till date was Rs.472.15 crore, he said. Dinesh Kumar Jangid, Assistant Commissioner of Customs, Tiruchi Airport, made a power point presentation on gold seized at the airport since 2011-12 fiscal, a release said.
