Cooperative employees take out rally

The circular which clubbed the basic pay and the dearness allowance and divided it by 135 for the staff of the cooperative stores should be scrapped and a just pay should be fixed for them.

Members of Tamil Nadu State Primary Cooperative Bank Employees’ Association marched in a procession and submitted a memorandum to the Collector here on Monday pressing their 18-point charter of demands.

Led by C.Kuppusamy, State general secretary, they demanded that all the anomalies related to their pay be settled at the earliest in accordance with the recommendation of the commission appointed to study the G.O. 189 dated 17.11.2009.

The circular which clubbed the basic pay and the dearness allowance and divided it by 135 for the staff of the cooperative stores should be scrapped and a just pay should be fixed for them. Apart from seeking pension and medical insurance, the association demanded that efficiency bar be created as on March 31, 2012, and promotions be granted to all eligible personnel. And all the vacancies should be filled at the earliest.
