Collector releases Rs. 405-crore ACP for Perambalur district

A total credit outlay of Rs. 405.01 crore was envisaged in the Annual Credit Plan (ACP) for Perambalur district for the year 2011-2012, indicating an increase of 19 per cent than last year.

Collector M.Vijayakumar who released the ACP at the bankers' meeting here on Tuesday said that a lion's share of Rs.346.35 crore had been earmarked for agriculture sector, Rs.16.29 crore for industries and Rs.42.37 crore for services sector in the district. The ACP was prepared by the Indian Overseas Bank, the lead bank of the district.

The first copy of the ACP was received by G.Krishnaprasad, Chief Regional Manager of the Indian Overseas Bank. The Collector said that smart cards had so far been issued to 432 persons through 11 branches of the bank in the district.

Lokeswari, Project Officer, District Rural Development Agency, Gunalan, Assistant General Manager, RBI, and senior officials from various banks attended the meeting.
