Cancellation and diversion of trains

Southern Railway has announced full and partial cancellation of certain trains and diversion of few others due to non-interlocking work at Erode Junction from August 17 to 21.

The Coimbatore- Mannargudi- Coimbatore Expresses, Mayiladuthurai – Coimbatore -Mayiladuthurai Jan Shatabdhi Expresses, Palakkad-Tiruchi-Palakkad Passengers and Tiruchi -Erode-Tiruchi Passengers will be cancelled from August 17 to 21.

The Tiruchi – Erode passenger (Train No. 56841) will be partially cancelled between Karur and Erode from August 17 to 21. The Erode – Tiruchi passenger (Train No. 56842) will be partially cancelled between Erode and Karur from August 17 to 21.

The Mayiladuthurai – Mysuru express will be diverted via Namakkal from Karur skipping Erode and Pugalur from August 17 to 20. The Velankanni – Vasco Da Gama express will be diverted via Namakkal from Karur skipping Erode on August 20.

The Mysuru- Mayiladuthurai express will be diverted via Namakkal from Salem skipping Pugalur and Erode from August 17 to 20. The Vasco Da Gama - Velankanni express will be diverted via Namakkal from Salem skipping Erode on August 19.

The Karaikal – Ernakulam express will be diverted at Tiruchi to run via Dindigul, Palani, Pollachi, Palakkad Town and Palakkad skipping Tiruchi Fort, Kulithalai, Karur, Erode, Tiruppur and Coimbatore from August 17 to 20.

The Ernakulam – Karaikal express will run via Palakkad, Pollachi, Palani, Dindigul and Tiruchi skipping Podanur, Coimbatore, Erode and Karur from August 17 to 20, a Southern Railway press release said.
