BHEL-Tiruchi keen on sustaining cleanliness drive

‘Swachhta Pakhwada’ or Cleanliness Fortnight observed by BHEL Tiruchi Complex from August 16 to 31 has reflected in segregation, reduction, recycle and reuse of scrap material at the shop floors.

During the fortnight, school students were also sensitised to the importance of cleanliness and motivated to sustain and spearhead Swachh Bharat Mission.

Employees and township residents were encouraged to keep up the momentum thoughout the year, R. Padmanabhan, Executive Director, BHEL Tiruchi Complex, said.

Honouring prize winners of competitions consisting of students from campus schools, teachers and employees, at the valediction of the Cleanliness Fortnight on Saturday, Mr. Padmanabhan said cleaning activities were organised in the township, campus schools, guest houses and hostel and e-waste collection bins were set up inside the township.
