The subsidy schemes implemented by the State government for micro, small and medium scale industries will continue for the current financial year too and applications for the schemes can be submitted at the District Industries Centre, District Collector K.S.Palanisamy has said.
Both new units and old units planning to expand operations by installing new machinery can get up to 25 per cent subsidy on plant and machinery, subject to a ceiling of Rs.30 lakh. MSME units have to apply within one year of commencing production under the scheme.
MSME units can also avail low tension power tariff subsidy.
The units have to apply for 20 per cent subsidy every six months at the District Industries Centre and the subsidy would be released based on the seniority list.
The Value Added Tax reimbursement extended to the MSME units for their first six years of production could also be availed by submitting applications every quarter.
Twenty five per cent subsidy (subject to a ceiling of Rs.5 lakh) would be extended on the cost of generator (up to 320 KVA capacity) procured by MSME units under the generator subsidy scheme, Mr.Palanisamy said.
