January 13, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 10:44 am IST - TIRUCHI:

A week after an anonymous letter was sent to the railway station master of Ariyalur threatening that a bomb would go off at the Marudhaiyar bridge, another threat letter was received by the same station master on Monday. The letter, written in Tamil and sent from Srirangam, threatened that a bomb would explode at the bridge in Ariyalur district as planned before January 17. Station master N. Rajan alerted the Railway Police and the RPF. The letter claimed that a bomb would also be planted targeting the Chief Minister. Interestingly, it bore the same name and address of a video shop owner in Tiruchi that was mentioned in the letter sent on January 5.

The anonymous letter that was received on January 5 threatened that a time bomb would explode at Marudhaiyar bridge between January 13 and 17.
