Traffic diversion for Samayapuram festival

The police have announced the following traffic diversions at Samayapuram in view of the annual Chithirai car festival of the Sri Mariamman Temple scheduled to be held on April 16:

All heavy goods vehicles and mofussil buses from Tiruchi bound for Salem will be diverted to go via Jeeyapuram, Pettavaithalai, Kulithalai, Musiri, Thottiyam and Namakkal.

In the return direction, the vehicles will be diverted at Musiri Kaikatti to go via Kulithalai, Pettavaithalai and Jeeyapuram to reach Tiruchi.

Diversion of buses

All heavy goods vehicles and mofussil buses from Ariyalur headed towards Tiruchi will be diverted at Pullampadi to go via Sangenthi, Thackankurichi and Irungalur Kaikatti to reach the city.

The diversions will be in force from midnight of April 15 till 6 p.m. on April 16, an official release said.
