Symposium on materials from January 19

The international Symposium on Joining of Materials (SOJOM) is set to unfold on January 19 at BHEL, Tiruchi.

The four-day mega show, organised by BHEL's Welding Research Institute, and the Indian Welding Society, once in four years, will witness deliberations on over 124 technical papers to be presented by researchers from various countries, including USA, UK, Germany, Italy, China, Finland, Austria, and Ukraine, besides India.

Exclusive session

The highlight will be an exclusive session by experts from German Welding Society (DVS) led by its CEO, Middeldorf. 

According to a BHEL release, the participants would gain a firsthand knowledge of the latest developments in the equipment, systems and consumables in welding presented by leading manufacturers from all over the world. 

The technical show on welding will be open to industrialists, students, faculty members, engineers and technicians between January 19 and 22, 2012.  Leading companies from all over the world will showcase their capabilities.  Around 800 delegates are expected to participate in the symposium.
