Students injured en route to school

Twenty five students of Arogya Annai Matriculation school at Kalvirayanpettai near Budalur in Tanjavur ditrict were injured when the school van they were travelling in skidded and fell into paddy field in Pananthottam village near Budalur on Tuesday.

The axle of the back wheel broke and the van lost control and fell into the field, the police said. Thirteen of the injured students were admitted to the Thanjavur Medical College Hospital while 12 of them were treated at Budalur Primary Health Centre.
