Haj aspirants who have already applied for passports but have not yet received the same even after completion of police verification may contact the Regional Passport Office in Tiruchi, S.Lingasamy, Passport Officer, has said.

In a release Mr. Lingasamy pointed out that the Haj Committee has fixed January 24 as the last date for submission of applications along with passport details.

Considering the limited time available, all genuine Haj aspirants can approach the Regional Passport Officer at Marakkadai and get manual tokens for submission of applications on walk-in basis.

Such applicants should come to the office with copies of the online application forms (ARN sheets), Mr. Lingasamy said.

Only those who possess machine readable valid passports with validity at least up to February 28,2018, would be permitted to apply for Haj 2017.

A special Haj Help Desk will also function at the Regional Passport Office till January 24 for answering queries related to passport applications, status enquiry and grievances of prospective Haj pilgrims, he said.
