An awareness rally was flagged off by Collector C. Munianathan on the occasion of World Population Day here on Friday.
The rally flagged off from the Government Hospital for Children here witnessed participation from over 500 students.
Imparting the message of population control as a yardstick for national growth, Mr. Munianathan stated that population control was as much as a crucial lever for the development of a family as it is of a country.
Students of National Higher Secondary School, Municipal Girls Higher Secondary School, CSI Higher secondary School and St. Anthony's Higher Secondary's School were among those present.
