An awareness rally on blood donation was organised here at Nagapattinam under the aegis of four Rotary Clubs here on Tuesday.
Rotary Clubs of Nagapattinam, Holy Town, Mid-Town and Nagore jointly organised the rally as a prelude to the state-level blood donation camp scheduled for September 23 at all district Government Hospitals.
Speaking to The Hindu , Illamaran, zone secretary, rotary club said the state-wide blood donation camp would be flagged off by the Deputy Chief Minister M.K.Stalin in Chennai.
Similarly, all district headquarters hospitals would host blood donation camps . In Nagapattinam, Collector C.Munianathan would inaugurate the camp, Mr.Illamaran said.
The aim of the rally was to create awareness among persons between 18 and 65 years of age on the wellness aspect of blood donation.
